Could be merged with openwrt afaict

I just rebased your commits onto openwrt main and it's running well. I suggest opening a PR against the main project and getting your changes merged up. I will likely have some time to help on this in the future, but I'd rather work on openwrt mainline than your fork.

@mattstep Hi Matt, the commits are a mess now. I haven't updated this is a long time. It should work well when rebased to latest master, but its in no way ready for a PR at openwrt.

Uboot is currently using blobs from armbian project, and linux device-tree patches are outdated.

I originally planned on completing this, but I never had the board. the person who was helping me to test the builds was satisfied with the current situation and didn't carry on with the latest updates.

If you're willing to test newer builds, do let me know. I will update this repo with the latest patches from mailing list.

I need a WiFI driver for RockPi S and it seems to be available. Is it possible to add a WiFi driver?

If you need a tester for images, I have a device available and would be willing to test images. I have a lot of spare time during the next two weeks.

I would really like to get a clean current version of OpenWrt working for the Rock Pi S.

It seems that support for the Rock Pi S will be added to the next version of the upstream kerne. That way the patches could be changed to be based on the upstream version.

What is the status of the bootloader? What work would be required there to get this as compatible as merge-able as possible with current OpenWrt?
