High Sierra fresh install issue : SuperIOdevice: [fatal] found unsupported chip!
Hi @javanesse,
I am unable to boot into mac installation screens for High Sierra. I followed all steps for creating USB , placing DSDT files, clover config and kext, but it restarting after sending errors attached.
seems like unsopported DSDT parse. can you tell me what is your laptop model and specs?
Please note I have tried installing 10.12.X and its working fine. 10.13 is causing issue. I have also tried installing using different USB port but no luck
laptop model: ASUS GL552JX Ram : 4(default) + 8 Gb Hard Drive : Kingston HyperX SSD Other specs attached. specs.LOG
BTW thanks for your time and support.
well, try to re-create usb installer, i affraid your usb installer was corrupted or something.
also, if you're using SSD, then high sierra will automatically convert your file system to APFS instead Jornaled HFS+, so you need apfs.efi and put to your drivers64UEFI folder in EFI folder. here your references:
