Open Kookie3rd opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

Unless this is a feature request, ALL of the following is required:

  • Description of the problem
  • Windows version
  • NMC version
  • Absolute path to your storage_x.hg files.
  • Absolute path to your NMS install directory.

Use Pastebin of directly attach these files (Users/<Username>/AppData/Roaming/NoMansConnect):

  • NMC.log
  • settings.json

If requested, please email your save file to [email protected]. This file will not be used in the game, or on NMC's production server.

  • How can this bug be reproduced?

He could mean teleport I'm now unable to use the function. I'm Windows 10 using version 1.10.1 never had any teleport problems before. Any attempt to teleport to reproduce. I may add that I believe No Man's Save Editor is also experiencing problems slight changes in save files? NMC log.txt

settings.txt Hope this helps.

@UltraCyberGod I'm not seeing any teleport failure attempts in your log file. Are you clicking the menu button on a location, selecting Teleport to..., and then selecting a destination? I'm currently not seeing issues on the NMS experimental branch. The log should contain something like this when succeeding:

1592685719443: Username: neuropuff
1592685719443: Active save file: C:\Users\jason\AppData\Roaming\HelloGames\NMS\st_76561197989345718\save.hg
1592685719627: Syncing discoveries...
1592685719443: Current location: 10:-17:-3:9:121:3
1592685747484: Successfully backed up save file.
1592685749482: Successfully signed save data with nmssavetool.
1592685752590: SAVE DIRECTORY: C:\Users\jason\AppData\Roaming\HelloGames\NMS
1592685755839: Finished reading No Man's Sky v4638 save file.

Possible error messages you can see in the log from save file I/O failing:

  • Unable to backup save file before writing: ...
  • Unable to create save file backup directory: ...
  • Error occurred while attempting to write save file cache: ...

I do see a lot of API errors in your log though, so that is possibly related to the issue you're having. I'll take a look at the API and try to figure out what's going on.

One other note - I don't think teleporting ever worked in multiplayer sessions - that is something I simply can't fix (nor should it be fixed).

It could have been API's I'm now able to teleport without problem. Is there a way to clear the log?

Not through the app currently. Been meaning to rotate the log so it doesn't become large. For now you can safely delete the NMC.log in AppData/Roaming/NoMansConnect while the app isn't running.
