[Feature Request]: Auto-Save function and maybe automatic backup file creation (like e.g. in libreoffice)

Description

Usually programs have some auto-save intervall nowadays

Purpose

Backup. This is a regular request of my students. They tend to "forget" to save, even when the program asks on exit.

not loosing huge amount of edits after e.g. running out of battery during getting a coffee ;)
