[Feature Request]: Nested descriptives tables
Description
Creating nested descriptives tables in factorial designs
Purpose
To enalbe more efficient assessment of assumptions prior to inferntial analysis

Descriptives
Describe the solution you would like
An option to change "Split" so that two IVs can be used in one go to "split" results
Describe alternatives that you have considered
I have to filter by one level if IV and Split by the other IV, then copy result to WORD. Then split by the other level of IV
Additional context
JASP is great for creating comparison between levels of One IV in Descriptives. However, it does not have option built-in for nested Descriptives results if one has two IVs. SPSS and other packages do this. It is important to have to teach students how to check assumptions in nested designs for ANOVA etc.
For example, I have a Group IV with two levels and a Condition IV with two levels. One DV.
I can only get descriptive using Split group for one IV at a time. For example, for the Group IV. If I want to get the “cell” information for Group-by-Condition (e.g., M/SD/IQR/Shapiro) I have to filter the data at one level of Condition, copy the result to WORD (s0 that it is not updated when filter is changed), and then repeat for the other level of Condition.
Is there any work being done to develop an option so that I do not need to filter at one level of one IV, which is the only workaround I can think of.
Hi, Ok I see. Clearly the only way around this is to save separate files as the post suggests by using filtering. That's unfortunate, as other packages allow "splitting" by more than one nominal variable. Thanks anyway, I will try out the solution from #2492
I bet this request will be implemented at some point. But other feature requests are of higher priority atm.

Maybe this is something for @mshafieek? Did I remember correctly you are looking at further splitting?
