Added option in boxplot

Open PerPalmgren opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

Description

To add an "optional" mean to descriptive boxplots

Purpose

When assessing normal distribution of data it is common practice to both look numerically (mean vs median and skewness), statistically (SW-test) and visually (histograms and boxplots).. I think it coud be beneficial for JASP users to have the possibility to opt to add a mean (line) to boxplot in the the descriptive module. This could facilitate visual inspection. and is possible in some other programs.

I don't know why this was closed! I can't remind me doing so!

Is this not yet covered by the new raincloudplot module?

Yes but it would be much easier to have it in the same place.

This would be great for what I would like to use jasp for. Boxplots need a bit more love.
