Flint Chip Can't Cut Up Burdock on a Flat Rock

Twisted mentioned this on his stream, and I had tried it before. It might be a more common confusion than I've expected before.

A knife can't cut up a burdock on a flat rock either. Apparently, only a sharp stone works.

that's because

a knife and a flint are cutting tools

while the sharp stone in this instance is used as a digging tool.

which would make sense for the burdock since it is a root vegetable.
