Live Server is stopped on Mac

If you have a problem launching a live-server, please try following steps:

  1. Make sure you use the right hotkeys. After v2.0.0, the keys became ctrl-alt combination.
  2. Try launching live-server from top menu: Package -> live-server -> Start Server to see if it works.

Hi, I have installed the package and when I click the packages -> atom-live-server -> start server, an error message just pops up saying "the live server is stopped" (it happens every time) and when I go back to packages to check but found that the start-server is just gone. I tried multiple times to reinstalled the package, it does not work. I also tried to reinstall Atom as well as update the Atom, neither worked. Could you please help me fix this issue? I will appreciate it so much!

The atom-live-server option under packages menu has disappeared on my end. I currently have v2.3.0. I used this a lot and even the other day. Not sure what version is different, but I have tried to reinstall but nothing pops up. I always just used the button underneath the packages menu on the top. I then tried the hot key versions and nothing happens.

Try rebuilding the package. Once you open atom, at the bottom of the red bug-like icon is in red with a 1 next to it, click that and then click the rebuild package button

This worked for me. I'm on version v2.3.0.
