Is cosmopolitan suitable for building a Linux distribution from scratch?

Hey there,

Thanks for your time and effort on this cool project.

Back in 2021, I opened this issue #50 asking whether it is possible to construct a toolchain using cosmopolitan and GCC.

2 years have passed, and the project has grown a lot, and I am still tempted to try constructing a toolchain that uses cosmopolitan as its C library to try and build a small statically compiled Linux distribution.

I was wondering if you could provide some pointers if this is now possible or not.

You could try to build oasis Linux using cosmopolitan, its small and statically linked, would love to see that!

So "Cosmos" is the new operating system that uses cosmopolitan as its C library?
