Can't connect to the server

Open DaFray31 opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

Describe the bug I have upgrade the server to Jellyfin And now its impossible to connect with Findroid (With Jellyrin app that works)

Before the update 0.5.0, i have update Jellyfin and Findroid didn't connect too. Probably due to my server is only https (and http get 404 and not redirect to https), but that working before the Jellyfin update

Device info :

  • Device: Oppo Find X5 pro / Galaxy Tab S7+
  • Android version : 12 and 12
  • App version : latest 0.5.0
  • Jellyfin server : 10.8.1

Hmm that's strange... My server is also https only (it doesn't even respond on http) and it works. Is there anything else special about your setup? The error you posted is from the home screen? (Just to make sure) You can try clearing all app data, maybe that will help.

It appears Findroid is able to connect to the server but is sending incorrect data maybe? If there are other people here with the same issue, please also post your device info / server info.

Is there anything else special about your setup? I'm using Traefik, and Jellyfin has docker container

The error you posted is from the home screen? (Just to make sure) You can try clearing all app data, maybe that will help. Yes from, the home screen, and i have already tried to clear all data, but same

Could you test again with version 0.6.0?

jarnedemeulemeester avatar Aug 23 '22 07:08 jarnedemeulemeester

I have update Jellyfin server (10.8.4) and Findroid (0.6.0) .... Same

Probably a plugin ?

Hmm, I really want to find the cause of this error. I have almost the exact same setup: Traefik, Jellyfin (10.8.4) docker container...

What plugins do you have installed?

This seems like a server issue rather than an issue with Findroid. Other people have reported similar issues and they were all server related. (Error 500 on home screen)

Feel free to reopen / create a new issue if you believe otherwise.
