I wasn't aware of the rotation not working on Pi 4. I'd be happy to hear of any solution you might come up with!

Can confirm that you need to disable the line ``` dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d ``` in `/boot/config.txt` if you want this to work on Rpi4.
