We're using it for the new version of our site. It's still not public but we're releasing it in one month. Our company is www.eventfly.com.br

We're releasing the new igdb.com in small stages. It's been a wild ride with afterjs but we are happy we're on the right course.

I'm wanting to use after.js to our current site, https://www.braggawatt.com. It's currently only a client-rendered app served through firebase.

I know people hate such questions but I'll ask anyway. – Is this project dead?

I'm considering NextJS and alternatives and while AfterJS has some benefits the "pulse" of the repo is not very optimistic...

@ivan-kleshnin One thing to note here is that while afterjs is a starting point, it's really Razzle that runs under the hood. That has a lot more activity.

The other issue is that most of what nextjs and afterjs is, is about to be replaced by React 17. You can see @jaredpalmer comment on that here: https://github.com/jaredpalmer/after.js/issues/175

As I see it, Nextjs will continue to be a far more opinionated solution whereas afterjs will be as bare-bones as it can be, which is my personal preference. Opinionated solutions need a lot more maintaining and I don't see that changing with next, even after react 17.

I predict that Jared will either deprecate afterjs and have it as a module in razzle, or release a new version of afterjs after react 17 leaves alpha.

I want to start using it, but I would like to know if that react-router layout flexibility issue is still actual. That sounds like something I would run into

I've used After.js on a client project https://gofindlocal.co.uk and on my personal playground site https://stehil.com (source at https://github.com/stepanh/stehil).

Some thoughts Big changes are on the way in React world due to suspense & hooks and I feel that migrating from After.js to TheNextBestThing️️™️️️️ (whatever that may be) will be way simpler than from Next.js. Than again, Next.js will get updated to suspense at some point - but I wouldn't expect that to happen soon.
