Can't remove last item from unlocked drawers

version 2.5.0 of FTB Revelations 1.12.2

I have an array of drawers plus controller setup hooked up to a refined storage if I attempt to remove all items from a drawer and attempt to place something else into the slot the item sprite will appear but it wont actually be there

if you shift right click to access the GUI it will spit the item back into your inventory and if it is a place-able block will place it in front of the drawer

only way I found to fix it is by breaking the drawer and just placing all of what you wanted in it (which is kinda annoying)

I observe the same issue with 2x2 drawers, but not with single ones. Didn't test 2x1 ones though.

This is true in Version: 1.12.2-5.4.2 (5.2.2) [Stoneblock 1] 2x2 and compacting drawers.

A suggestion to the mod developer would be that. If the lock was removed and you right click on the "ghost items" inside the drawer it would disappear. Thus clear it for a new item. I'd prefer this method over swapping outside the GUI.
