Cannot open MCA files with negative coordinates

Region files such as r.0.-1.mca cannot be opened and crash NBTExplorer. Using v2.8.0. Crash log attached: error.log

Renaming the file to remove the hyphens lets you open it; you just need to remember to rename it back after editing.

Renaming what? I have this error still on minecraft version 1.16.4, can't read region files

The file itself. Just remove the hyphens from the filename and NBTEdit works fine (at least it did 1½ years ago). Save and close then restore the old name.
