Same here. Doesn't work anymore after latest update. Even with the work around.

Try reinstalling whatsapp desktop completely and then try the work around. That fixed it for me.

Looks like it finally broke. Clearing IE cookies doens't work anymore. It seems that weather.com is rolling out a new version of its's API so the author has to fix...
