This usually indicates that the iPhone closed the connection... I can't tell you more with only this output

@Stroker89 I think the issue you are having with is the latest ac!d update since i noticed they added dylibs to force it to only work with proxies and Wordjelly. A work around that I found out was to install PAT Setup from the http://apt.tekwik.com/ repo and you can either use their great PAT Server or once installed change the server in Ac!d after installing the package and it should work!

But if I want to make my own server without a proxy? I am going to ask bassamkassem to remove this dylibs!

I am having trouble using siriservercore on iOS 6.1 using [Acid]siri ios 6.1. I tried @stroker89's suggestion with PAT but that did not work. I tried adding Authentication Disabled using iFile. It added the line successfully but siri still just spins. [Acid} siri 6.1 works fine with cert proxy servers. But no response from Siriservercore. I have used this on earlier iOS versions and it worked great! I quickly learned how to manipulate the plugins. Impressed with your work Eichhoernchen. I hope you can help me. Also, the tweak you have on cydia won't install without [Acid} 6.0 . I have 6.1 maybe if you update that it will help me?

Yeah that would be great :)

I did some uninstalling and reinstalling and now I got it working! I replaced everything in the siriserver folders on my iphone with the master on this site. Plugins are acting a little funny though.I ask where am I and it shows me the ocean haha. I ask for something nearby and it finds results but the results are blank and if I click on one it loads ios maps and then crashes it... Then siri stopped working, so i removed the assistant plist and then added Authentication Disabled with ifile and it works again. I'm going to work on trying to fix these plugin problems. Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

b345t avatar Feb 07 '13 09:02 b345t

Thx for your tests. I will try it later :)

Martj89 avatar Feb 07 '13 09:02 Martj89

@b345t: My maps is acting a little different from yours. If I click on the ocean, the Apple map opens, but still pointing to the ocean. But in the adress field, my zipcode & city is shown.

I really like the idea of this project, so I hope that more people will reactivate it und build a community with plugin-repo, update functionality and so on. :)

Way too slow trying to fiddle around with these things on the iphone4. Decided to install Siriservercore on a virtual Ubuntu and WOW response time even on 3g is blazing compared to running the server on the phone! I'm really excited now to try and get it working as close as possible to Siri. I still have the problem with whereami putting me in the ocean and local result map links are blank and crash ios maps in iOS 6.1. I don't even know where to begin to try and fix that (Maybe link results to Google maps app??). Had a ton of trouble with imdb plugin. Had trouble installing IMDbPy, on the iphone and ubuntu, but found this... sudo apt-get install python-dev and seems after that I was able to install and import into python. But still siri says "Sorry I don't understand Who directed the matrix". Frustrated, got all the API keys in the world and can barely do anything with them! haha

b345t avatar Feb 10 '13 10:02 b345t

@b345t Have you got the plugins in the right order in plugins.conf? I had this issue ("Sorry, I don't understand...") a couple of months ago with the chatbot plugin - entering it above startRequestHandler in plugins.conf sorted it for me. I guess that would also apply for the IMDbPy plugin too, so worth a shot!

Matchstic avatar Feb 10 '13 23:02 Matchstic

@b345t @matchstick-dev As you can read on the IMDbPY website (http://imdbpy.sourceforge.net/), there is a problem caused by the new website of IMDB:

14 Dec 2012: need for help Once again, IMDb changed a lot of their web pages, especially the search results. We need help from developers to update IMDbPY; see this thread.
