yes, that definitely makes sense! 👍 i remember taking a brief look at doing this as part of https://github.com/materialsproject/crystaltoolkit/pull/362 but didn't follow through. perhaps worth linking this related PR https://github.com/janosh/pymatviz/issues/164...

@szethh thanks a lot for reporting the fix! removing `.svelte` from `mdsvex` `extensions` also fixed it for me. as far as arcane error messages go that give absolutely no clue...

Not quite but Orion just pinged me about it so will try to pick it up again
@utf i think this is ready to go now. a future PR could add the `callback_filter` keyword to other update methods like `update_kwargs` as well
