Windows support

Core_bench has some dependencies that don't work on windows (some things from core). I was wondering if it was possible to remove these dependencies, so that core_bench can be used on windows.

Sorry for the long delay in response.

It's possible core_bench can be made to work on Windows, but at the moment we don't have equivalent bindings for the low-level timing primitives that the benchmarks use. We're also not likely to find time to develop them in the near future. If you know what Windows bindings you'd like to use, and were able to submit a patch, we'd probably be able to accept it reasonably quicky.
