Filename on download

Open mickkn opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

When downloading the comic files to for example Comic Zeal, the filename used is the one Calibre are renaming it to, which is mostly the author and a fraction of the title. But never the series, which is a little important.

Would it be possible to specify what parameters to keep in the filename when downloading files? And maybe also the order of the parameters - Maybe in the admin page or something like that.

Could be something like %series %title - and then the file is renamed when downloading. Could also be usefull to specify different behaviors for each filetype maybe :)

Hi,

I join the @mickkn request, it will be very useful to have possibility to specify output filename. Using Android software as Moon+ Reader, it will allow to sort book/comics by series easily with the name. Currently, I changed, in Calibre, the output configuration name to device by : {series} - {series_index:0>3s} - {title}. Is there any way to do the same thing ?

Thanks in advance.

I would also like to keep an eye on this. While the calibre GUI has a good way to do it, the content server doesn't seem to follow the same rules and having it done through here would probably be easier and add a lot of value to the application.
