@ludoch Where are we at with this one? Is providing the jsp-related jars inside the webapp when the jsps have been precompiled something that we want to pursue?

https://github.com/eclipse/jetty.project/issues/506 was closed, as testing showed that jetty 9.2 and 9.3 handles serving index jsp files with null path info just fine. Need more info from reporter about their setup.

@joakime could you also please document how to make logging work when running locally from jetty9-compat-base: doesn't seem to notice a logging.properties file in the webapp's WEB-INF dir.
