How to disable the SAP audio?
I use a MythTV backend with LibreElec front-end clients. Ocassionally, the backend will deliver the Second Audio Program (SAP) that describes the scene for visually impaired people in addition to the regular program audio. This seems to happen on both a live broadcast and on a recorded program.
My understanding is that the MythTV front-end client can toggle the SAP audio portion on/off with (I think) the 'M' key on the keyboard. However, I can find no setting in LibreElec or in the MythTV PVR plugin, nor in the configuration of the MythTV backend to disable the SAP.
Am I missing something, and if not, can this be added as a configuration option to the PVR plugin?
Thanks! Dan
I run the exact same type of setup and have experienced the same thing. Although it's rare in my case.
It seems like the player is sometimes defaulting to the alternate audio for some reason. However, there is a way to manually switch it back to the default when watching a program. When the player progress bar is visible, there is a cog in the lower right side of the screen you can press for those settings.
Thanks! I'll try that tonight. I thought I had tried every option, but maybe I overlooked that one. :-)

Well, no luck. I got the progress bar on the screen and then clicked on each of the icons in the lower right side of the LibreElec screen, but none of them offered an option to disable or turn off the SAP audio.

Here's some screen shots of where to find it:

Maybe the reason I couldn't find it is that I'm using the Confluence skin? What skin are you using?

It's the default skin: Estuary
Well, that was PART of the problem. Confluence doesn't offer that option (see image below). I switched to Estuary and found the option, but it only allows me to toggle between English and Spanish. What I want to get rid of is the additional narration provided for visually impaired people. I.e., what I'm getting is English + the additional narration (that describes the scene); what I want is only the (regular) English (without the narration).

It's up to the content source how many audio streams there are and what they're called. When the content provides a "descriptive audio" stream, it will be one of the options you can toggle between as if it were just another language.
OK, that makes sense because (for reasons I cannot explain) tonight the same recording that played with the narration now plays without it. Strange!
Thanks for all your help. Maybe I should switch to Estuary in case the narration reappears!

The audio control is handled by the kodi player. Please check the options in audio settings or in audio setup during the playback.
