How to install an osm card?
Good morning, I downloaded the map of French Polynesia from Geofabrik. So I got the polynesie-francaise-latest.osm file, so how to install it for osmin? Thank you in advance for your help, Pierre.
For importing OpenStreetMap data, you need to have Import tool from libosmscout on your computer. Then, use this tutorial howto run importer.
Finally, copy resulted database files to your phone, next to other databases.
Using the mobil app for Android, it won't be possible from Android 10 and up. The app data cannot be accessible even by you :-/ . Using the app on any other OSes, YES you can as Karry has explained.
About Android, I thought to implement an importer, but without success until now: Reading files from external storage becomes a complex and frustrating thing in Android. Only online transport is straight forward.
