Numbered list still showing roman numerals instead of numbers

Open jk-1 opened this issue 3 months ago • 1 comments

I could not reopen the old issue, so had to create new one.

When I type this

Here is a numbered list:

1. apple
	1. green apple
	2. red apple
2. banana
3. orange

the output is this

Here is a numbered list:

i. apple
     i. green apple
    ii. red apple
ii. banana
iii. orange

This not valid markdown, see reference & Numbered Lists : https://wordpress.com/support/markdown-quick-reference/

It is also different what Remarkable github front page shows:

Proposal: If you want to keep the roman numbering style then add new formatting option for numbers (and maybe also letters a, b, c, ...).

Remarkable version 1.95, OS Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

A home-made solution to this is to find the file called styles.py which will probably be in a folder called /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/remarkable/. If you edit this file with root privilege and search for the string lower-roman, there should be one occurrence of it and you can change it to decimal. Restart Remarkable and it should behave as you requested.
