Accelerate for scalar.c functions?

Is there any particular reason that Accelerate isn't used in some obvious scalar.c functions (e.g. xtract_sum, xtract_mean)?

Nope, no good reason, only that I haven't yet gotten around to it. Accelerate should be used where possible with a fallback to existing methods for non-Apple platforms
