Shortcut issues

MacOS 12.0.1 Firefox 95.0.2 stutter: 1.12.3

  1. Skip Backwards and Skip Forwards shortcuts are not working for me. (even if they are set to single letters)
  2. Upon saving settings the first time I increase the WPM it jumps from default (400) to 1800.
  3. Having r on restart breaks native cmd+r reload functionality (this is not so important as the previous issues)

The keyboard shortcuts sometimes require me to give the page focus before they work. I can click with my mouse somewhere on the page, and then they begin working. As for specific key bindings not working, that seems to be OS and browser dependent. If you can rebind the keys in the options panel then you should be able to use your new settings properly. I'm using the same detection mechanism to do the binding that I'm using for the handlers in Stutter itself.

The saving setting thing jumping the WPM to 1800 is odd too. That's the max-int I allow for that field. It sounds like something unexpected is coming through. I'll investigate.

Looks like on the options page when saving data the numbers were getting converted to strings, causing unexpected behavior. I've fixed this in 1.12.5 which should be uploaded relatively soon. I don't think it will affect your keybinding issue, though, so I'll leave this issue open for now.

Same issues here, Stutter 1.12.7, Windows 11, Firefox 110; 500 WPM, 10 word skip count.
