Apple Magic Keyboard (for iPad) doesn't work as well.
I can confirm this is happening with version 1.18.0 on macOS Sonoma. This is indirectly related to [a bug I reported](https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/16552).
I had to use [this version](https://github.com/mkst/sm64-port/wiki/Convert-a-.3dsx-to-.cia-via-MSYS2/eb9cc9a4a9be75752688340b323949f547e7d398) of the wiki to convert it to cia.

Today, 1.18.3 was released on the App Store which fixes this problem. I had to go to Configuration->Reset to Defaults and re-open RetroArch for the iPad keyboard to kick in,...
Another user posted that some keys of the keyboard were detected on a Commodore core, but not all; but they apparently deleted their post. Anyway, if someone is having issues...

The solution I provided is better, I think, because it lets me use my full keyboard AND the hot keys.
