If this isn't running can it pull data from the plug to catch back up?

im using this for historical KwH usage. if for some reason it's not running for a while and i restart it, have i lost the history of the usage over the time it wasn't running or can it pull that data from the plug?

I think the data resides on the plug. I changed names and moved them arround and they seem to keep historic data
