Running app slows down communication with Kasa app

While I have the logging enabled, it takes about 5 seconds or so to refresh the kasa app for all my devices. Is there a way to slow down the polling period or only poll from my 2 energy monitor devices, leaving the other 10 or so unmonitored? Thanks!
