Internal JSON-RPC error

hello James, i'm trying to approve USDT to be spent, but i'm getting an error saying MetaMask - RPC Error: Internal JSON-RPC error. {code: -32603, message: 'Internal JSON-RPC error.', on the blockchain the transaction is going through but on metamask, it is showing that approval wasn't successful and it is requiring me to do another transaction for the next step after approval to work. what do i do?
