Layout attribute is assigned with multiple null values

The layout attribute in the data file has some problems. The array is constantly added and removed null values. That is a problem for me, because it causes git conflicts in my vault. I'm using Git to sync my vaults between devices.

This is actually the intended behaviour. I will change it but it's going to take a while.
