show triggers?

Open straz opened this issue 8 years ago • 12 comments

I'm not sure if I'm overlooking something obvious, but is there any way in Postico to view triggers or stored procedures on a given table?

I'm using Postico Version 1.0.8 (1442)

Hi Steve,

unfortunately Postico has no support for showing triggers or stored procedures.

You can enable system tables in preferences, and then look at the various pg_catalog tables, but that is cumbersome.

I'm working on improving this (the function part first), but it'll still take me a while...

Having the ability to view, create, replace, and remove user defined triggers, functions, domains, types, etc. would be a killer feature.

I will no doubt buy this for my team when this is implemented; in fact I'd actually consider this a great license-only feature to encourage customers to purchase a license.

Hope this happens soon.

I'd also like to see this feature!

Any news on this? Or is there another Mac client that supports this? I would gladly buy Postico for this feature. Our company uses DB migrations so it's almost impossibly to find the current state of trigger functions.

Very important feature for this great product :)

Tired of waiting so I switched to Datagrid now.

Hi,

as a start, we've added DDL support for triggers to the latest Postico 2 build, available via the built-in updater, or directly here: https://eggerapps-downloads.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/postico-7556.dmg

Best regards, Martin

Thanks @martinjankoehler , can you explain how to use this feature? I'm being dumb, am new to the 2.0 beta builds, and don't see this anywhere. Unless you just mean you can see the DDL of the pg_trigger table.

@jeremy-illuminate I was referring to the DDL Tab: Bildschirmfoto 2021-07-12 um 12 23 57
