Where to run setup.sh

Hi Where to run the setup.sh? I have a sruface1 device. But am not sure how to start the process on installing linux? I have a linux PC and if I run setup.sh from the cloned repository on my PC, will it change its operating kernel?

I am not sure whether its okay to advertise someone else's repository here. I just found those instructions much more accessible.
