Automatic lyrics searching not working

For certain songs, the window shows its searching from all sources, and then lyrics doesn't load. If I use the manual search option, the lyrics shows up and then if I select one, it shows up only then. Auto lyrics search and load is not working.

I first selected all the songs available in my playlist then did the search for lyrics context menu command and as you can see the lyrics for the song Titanium is not found but in the image below is the search manually context menu command I used on the song titanium which shows there are many sources available in my opinion it is a reproducible bug(?) which happens to only certain tracks

From the bug report template:

To collect logs for your issue: open the console (View -> Console), clear it (using the "Clear" button in the bottom left), reproduce the bug and then copy the contents of the console and include it here, preferably inside a "details" tag.

Looks like auto-search just isn't happening at all for some reason. This kinda makes sense because the triggering logic was changed in the latest version so presumably there's a bug in there somewhere. I've not seen this happen to me locally though. If anybody can characterise the cases where it happens for them that might help point in the right direction.

If I use "search for lyric" it download ad file saved in .\foobar2000\profile\lyrics\ work also after. I try old versions, also foo_openlyrics-v1.3 and delete foo_openlyrics.dll.cfg, but load lyric in same path of mp3 file not work. Maybe a problem with portable version?

hey @jacquesh! bumping this with some new information as it seems no one has so far. having this same issue recently! i have some pointers in the details tag but its unfiltered i couldnt figure out why it wont let me use `s

it seems to work for some tracks but then completely gives up on others, only working with a manual search. if i had to take a lucky guess id say maybe rate limiting? i guess i have been downloading alot of lyrics. hope this helps and let me know if you need some more testing

I'd like to add in - I also have the same issue. In the console: WARN-OpenLyrics: Received musixmatch search result but track_list was malformed: {"message":{"header":{"status_code":401,"execute_time":0.0041429996490479,"hint":"captcha"},"body":[]}} But as others have mentioned, the manual search works fine. It's interesting that the automatic search seems to trigger the captcha because I can manually search for the same lyrics from Musixmatch with no issue.
