Always hide files in root to "files" navigation item

When there is in my root css/ folder 21 files, StyleDocco nicely hide them in "files" navigation item:

When there is 8 files, StyleDocco shows them in navigation as first-level items and navigation looks poor:

I think, StyleDocco should always work as in first example.

I like the consistency of your suggestion, but then sometimes "files" would be the only item in the header bar, which isn't a good use of the space.

So I like the idea of having files as top-level items if there's room for them, but:

  1. they shouldn't break the styling
  2. it should be clear that they're a different kind of item from the other top-level items.

After a little thinking I agree that it's a navigation design problem.

Navigation should reflect structure of files and folders as far as possible.

For this purpose, however, is not suitable horizontal navigation. It can easily break the styling if it contains too many or too long items.

The solution is vertical navigation. Think of it as an idea.
