Two $ prices in one line interpreted as LateX
Describe the bug
If there are two $ symbols on the same line, such as two prices, Quartz interprets it as LateX. Replacing the $ symbols with $ does not help.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Write two prices on the same line, using the dollar symbol for both. For example: "The scooter was $599 but is now $799."
- Observe how Obsidian correctly renders the dollar amounts with no issue.
- Publish the note to Quartz
- Observe that the published note in Quartz now has formatting errors.
Expected behavior
Published notes in Quartz using single $ should not trigger LateX. At the very least, explicit $ should not trigger latex.
This seems to be a Katex issue, will look into this further (you can disable Katex if you don't need it as well)
Hi! I'm also having this issue - where can I see how to disable Katex? I've tried adding math: false to the header and escaping the $s with a \$ but I'm still getting the issue of text between dollar signs being imterpreted as a formula.
This issue should be fixed in Quartz 4. I'll be closing it for now but please reopen this issue if this persists in the new version.
