You can use the same PR for uploading changes, no need to close and make a new one. (A force push to the github branch is sufficient to do it)

Can you split the commits like follows:

  • Typo correct "different" -> "difference"
  • Add Emacs files to .gitignore
  • Implement structural pattern matching

For the last one, it would be nice if the commit message were nice and descriptive. The description you had in the last PR was great; this would be good in the commit message!
