Too easy to restore default settings

There is a "Restore Defaults" hotkey, a "DEFAULTS" button, and (with unapplied changes) a "RESET" button. I just never touch any of these because I always somehow wipe my settings for everything (skill issue, i know, i know).

I think the Reset button is meant to revert unsaved changes in the current screen, but it's actually setting everything back to default on every screen?
