I noticed that JackPilot is not working in the macOS Catalina Public Beta 3 (Dev Beta 4).

Also eagerly waiting an update to work on Catalina.

FYI macOS is far from being a priority right now, so you have to wait quite a bit..

I see Jack2 works but I don't know how to make it do what I need it to do. Trying to route DJ controller audio inputs to something like Soundflower.

The previous JACK device thing no longer works in Catalina, like many other audio applications. There is Blackhole project for Catalina, which is exactly like Soundflower but, well, works :)

Recompiling QjackCtl (https://qjackctl.sourceforge.io) in 64 bits is probably the way to go now.

I'm not a developer myself but curious if anyone is working on an updated MacOSX version of JACK and what the forecast is on this in the next year or two, i.e. will those of us on Macs really not be able to use JACK starting w/ Catalina? I ask because a lot of people I work with on telematic music are using jacktrip with JACK but on Macs... Thanks!

seconded. I too work with jacktrip. Am currently making some progress getting qjackctl to run on Catalina, but the jack server isn't appearing in any of my applications

there seems to be a newer build of qjackctl for macos mentioned here: https://github.com/jackaudio/jack2/issues/509#issuecomment-563011134 - but it does seem to not contain midi support as far as i can see ... also i was only once able to get it running, all other times it gave an error (my system is sierra though and not catalina) ...

thanks @hexdump0815

Using the newer version of qjackctl I also had the same experience where it worked once. I looked into writing my own client using nodejs, and after some time I relented and downgraded to OSX Mojave :/

Hi All. I'm interested in digging into this and seeing if I might be able to fix it, or provide a workaround. I have a mac with Catalina, but could I get some instructions on how to reproduce this exact issue? I see that it is "not working" but are there any obvious error messages?
