Feature request: midi implementation on pads

It would be great if the pads on the sequencer could be midi assigned so that external midi devices could switch pads on and off.

This can be done already via OSC through Purr-Data. Look for controller patches in your plugins folder under trowaSoft/pd or http://www.geekasaurusrex.net/page/trowaSoft-Sequencer-Modules-for-VCV-Rack.aspx#downloads. Direct MIDI integration is planned for the future, but is going to take quite a bit of time/testing.

@marcusbrutulus did you ever get your controller sorted out? I'd be glad to help get you going. This is exactly what these modules were designed for.

I ended up using touchOSC on my iPad to control the trowasoft sequencers. I found figuring out my own mapping with the novation Launch Control XL to be over my head. So I’m at least up and running.

Thanks for asking! At some point I may want to figure out the Novation unit and mapping it but I’m good for now.
