(Windows 11) - IVPN system tray icon doesn't contrast well with first Windows 11 color theme
Description:
On Windows 11, there are multiple new color themes, when selecting the first one, the IVPN system tray icon doesn't change color accordingly and consequently it is barely visible.
Expected result:
The IVPN system tray icon should always be visible.
Steps to reproduce:
- On Windows 11, install version 3.3.20.
- Proceed to Windows 'Themes and related settings' and select the first color theme.
- Observe the issue with the IVPN system tray icon.
Environment:
IVPN: v3.3.20 Platforms: Windows 11
Screenshot:
The icon does not seem to contrast well on Win 10 systray as well:
Windows 10: It can happen if user selected non-OS-default color theme in the application settings, and changed windows color theme (when IVPN application is running). The app would not be able to detect the change of OS color theme in this case. The app restart will help.
An update to my previous comment: I found that "Not Activated" Windows 10 has blocked 'coloring' functionality. So, the application is unable to get info about the OS color scheme. That leads that the app is using the default (black) icon.

@gorkapernas v3.9.52
(Windows) Added a new settings option General -> View -> Tray icon
:
- Auto
- Light
- Dark
Verified on v3.9.52, Windows 10 and 11, now with the option to change the color of the system tray icon on Settings, the issue no longer occurs. Tested with different Windows themes and either the light or dark try icon adjust correctly to the background, depending on the theme used.
Released in v3.10.0 Beta
