Hi ivmartel!👋, I added this optional feature to digitally sign you source-code and track it on a blockchain node should you ever be audited or experience a software supply-chain attack. Simply compare the byte encrypted signature on your .git binary with the hash written to your immutable blockchain node. If they ever differ you should escalate. why: I don't mean to imply that you 'should' do anything. In truth you are helping me as much if not more than I'm trying to do for you and the community. My name is Jude Safo, applied plasma physics (MIT 14') and Applied machine learning engineer (Twitter 21'). I'm participating in Techstars Accelerator and I'm working to provide open source developers with web3 based security that I believe can extend some of the best features of github beyond github. Being able to track and protect your software across any platform as it migrates through the software supply chain, getting insights into how others are building off your source code and even learning what repositories might best complement your own. That's the vision I have and why I'm working on this project.
