Feature request: ctrl-n & ctrl-p for navigating tab completions

Title says it all! As it stands now, we have to move down to the arrow buttons after pressing <Shift-tab>

Agreed, and it would also be nice to have the omnicomplete, i.e. completion on any matching word not just variables in the namespace.

I've found this helps enormously keeping stuff like dict keys consistent.
