Ability to import and export Invidious playlists

Open kimimaru4000 opened this issue 4 years ago • 8 comments

Currently you can export subscriptions and various Invidious settings, but there's no option to import or export an Invidious playlist. This would be nice to sync playlists between instances and give the ability to modify the playlist by hand to insert videos in the middle.

I would like this for the ability to easily move from one invidious instance to another. I had to recreate my playlists when I moved to another instance. Moving my subscriptions was easy, just need playlists to be imported/exported also.

Hi @omarroth, thanks for adding this feature! Unfortunately, if I have more than one page of videos on a playlist, it doesn't export all of them; it exports only the first page.

Thank you adding this feature and putting it on invidio.us before shutting the site down. Made my data management so much easier.

this doesn't seem to be working for me. I exported Invidious data as JSON, imported it into anther instance, but no playlists were imported. I have 24 saved playlists in the original instance. I checked the JSON file and the section for playlists was empty:

,"playlists":[]}

That's why this issue exist. This feature doesn't exist yet.
