What happened to the translation overlay?
That was specifically why I was using this translation addon instead of any other, because it didn't send it to another tab.

The modal and icon feature is not working in latest versions of Firefox. I disabled it meanwhile figúrate how to re-implement it.

Also stopped working in waterfox classic version 2020.10 Just get a busy spinner in the popup window now.
I don't know if that's helpful, but a small window that open after a click on the icon still works in this translation addon: https://github.com/sienori/simple-translate
Still works here after editing the code to what it was before... (ver. 83.0)
my waterfox is G3.0.0 (64-bit) based on Gecko 78.5.0
the shorcut is gone, also when clicking CTRL+SHIFT+1 (translate word) it's show blank, but when clicking the + to open in new tab, it's auto input and translating the word i highlighted

Is there some way to return the 4.0.6 version, without replacing FF with developer versions, in order to disable signature verification? In general, it worked fine for me with a modal window.
@itsecurityco do not mean to pressure you, but do you have an estimated timeline before we can use the addon again? Thanks
It is strange why this translation plugin is not as famous as the rest - but it is actively supported by the developer and almost perfectly reproduces the translation function as it is implemented in Google Chrome - without frames, without redirects to the Google Translate page:
Thanks to @itsecurityco for his work, but "Translate Web Pages" addon by Filipe Ps (+ github link) is objectively better. Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt anyone!
