Ctrl+Alt+1 from Textarea opens empty translation

Open Mk1- opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

To reproduce:

  1. Go to https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/textarea
  2. Marek text: "It was a dark and stormy night..." in right textarea.
  3. Press Ctrl+Alt+1.
  4. Left translation panel is empty.

It is not shortcut conflict issue - I have checked it is as described in #69.

I thought the shortcut was ctrl-shift+1 for a translation. It gives a blank page now. Google had warnings that you needed to be logged in in future to use this translation service; is this relevant?

It also occurs on some websites like woorden.org (and many more I can't name atm) Very annoying and you need to right click and then translate instead of using the hotkey.

Use of hotkey: doesn't work on some websites (shows empty translation page) Use of right click > translate: works properly.
