Captcha fails to load when using a vpn on linux
OS: ArcoLinux (basically ArchLinux)
When my VPN is on, I can't complete log-in, as after I enter my email and password, it attempts to load a captcha, but fails. It sits with a blank screen with the word "Captcha" in the header, along with the "X" button in the top-right, and nothing else. After about a minute, a text box appears, but no image for the captcha.
When I turn my VPN off, there is no captcha at all. But I do not always have the option to do that.
This is probably more an issue with your VPN provider ... Probably someone using the same VPN Provider for malicious stuff, getting the Provider blacklisted by the Captcha Provider.
That unfortunately makes sense. Nevertheless, that doesn't solve my problem. I guess the next question is, why is there a captcha in the first place? It seems strange to have it at all on software that you download. Rather, is it unavoidable that people on VPNs have to go through this system that sometimes fails to work because they're on VPNs?
I installed itch from the AUR on EndeavourOS. When trying to run I get the same result as AlbeyAmakiir. After typing in my login name and password I get a blank screen as described above. But I have this issue regardless if my VPN is on or off.
I'm having this issue with no vpn at all. I'm on OpenSUSE TW
#2450 is most likely related
Im on Kubuntu 22.04.1 (downloaded fresh ISO and installed it yesterday) and have the same issue with no VPN enabled at all
