Keep "optgroup" grouping

It would be a nice feature to keep optgroups when the list is rendered and making it possible to select an entire optgroup.

@DeanMW This works for me, my customer, and is in production as is. I've noticed the first click into the listbox does not select on the list item but only the listbox. That will get updated sometime.

Not sure what's ugly about the code. Javascript/JQuery is ugly.
