blog idea: discuss Istio Build process including N-2

Given some recent conversations in the community-at-large, I am thinking about writing a blog to document and describe the Istio build process at a slightly higher level.

Some initial thoughts of coverage

• Cover the various repos and how they integrate throughout the project
• How cherry-pick works to backport fixes between versions
• How we address CVEs incl. their backport
• Highlight the N-2 support and what that means

I think this is an interesting blog and shows how Istio project is and has been making these available to everyone.

Hi @dhawton we discussed this in steering today. There are some sentimental around we don't want the blog published right away till the linkerd build incidents faded (could take 2-3 months). In the meanwhile, we would love you and @ericvn and others who can help get our docs in github updated for builds related info, and have the blog to provide a centralized summary and highlight/advertisement.
