What is the maintenance status of this project? The contributors graph seems like it has fallen off this past year.

(Completely understand that priorities change! Just wondering if we should look for other people to become active maintainers.)

@bcoe As this project is no longer being maintained, can you make an update to the readme pushing folks to use the above fork? It is the most updated and taken care of version. That will help with the project not fracturing.
