[ISSUE]: Freeze when pressing X to launch a disc

Describe the issue

When i using the latest development build 9cb8516 from Oct 16, 2024 i can't launch a disc. Nothing happens it just freeze on the screen NEW DISC: reading... If i insert the disc before i launch PS2BBL it says NEW DISC: PlayStation 2, but still nothing happens. Even if i press eject, the status will not change. This does not happen on version 1.2.0.

I'm having the same issue with my MechaPwned SCPH-70000 when PS2BBL is launched as a system update. PS2BBL is stuck at either at "NEW DISC: reading..." or "NEW DISC: PlayStation 2" with both $CDVD and $CDVD_NO_PS2LOGO commands.

Looks like I'm not the only one here, I'm also experiencing the same issue with my SCPH-90008 + MechaPwn when PS2BBL is launched through OpenTuna

i can see the same no launch behavior on 9833b07 with both a scph39002 and a scph70003

I am also seeing this with a DESR-5700 with 990b78c. Unit is also MechaPwned and I have a dead DVDRW laser. Booting up with $CDVD will give me Reading.... but if I boot up with no disc and insert one, No Disc will be displayed. Disc will not even spin.

Same issue here on stock 39004, I am launching discs with RetroGem Launcher, works fine so far..
